WRITING FOR THE SCREEN

On the page, a story is imagined.
On the screen, it begins to breathe.

Marya’s screen work explores character, community, identity, belonging, and the worlds human beings build together.

FADE IN:

A story begins before anyone knows exactly where it leads.

LRG Nation: Stories of Courage, Growth, and Belonging in Live Reality Games by Marya Patrice Sherron

CURRENT SCREEN PROJECT

LRG Nation

A feature documentary about the people who create live reality games… and the deeper human needs those worlds reveal.

Through intimate interviews and reflective storytelling, LRG Nation explores family, inclusion, healing, masking, authenticity, competition, and becoming. The film looks beyond the game itself to ask what causes people to create a world that did not exist before… and what becomes possible when others are welcomed inside it.

Marya serves as director, writer, and narrator, shaping the film through the same literary lens that defines her books: close attention to voice, emotional truth, and the quiet moments that reveal who people are.

WRITER’S NOTE

“I am interested in the moment a person stops performing who the world expects them to be and begins becoming who they actually are.”
